DON KAISER
WOODTURNING
ARTIST STATEMENT
“Currently my woodturning can be a challenge to find the right form, color and texture to create an enjoyable piece that is fun and pleasing to look at. Sometimes a piece of wood just screams at you and only needs a pleasing form to make it work. Other pieces of wood are very quiet, and need something to make them a little louder or more noticeable. This is the real challenge and sometimes very frustrating. But it is also quite rewarding when someone sees it, their eyes light up and a smile comes across their face. That makes the challenge and all the work worth it.” — Don Kaiser ARTIST BIO
