All Turned Wood Works by Don Kaiser have 8 or more layers of lacquer, each coat finely sanded before the next one is applied and then buffed. The inlays are natural minerals or coral. Don creates all his own finishes using inks, dyes, or paints of the highest quality. The copper you see is actual copper paint, which he then patinas and finishes with lacquer.
All turned wood works by Don Kaiser are “dry food” safe, meaning safe for use with nuts, crackers, dry salads, bread, etc.
Heavy oils, hot or wet foods can damage the lacquer finishes.
Not dishwasher or microwave safe.
Do not use with essential oils.
