DANA FALCONBERRY
LINOLEUM BLOCK PRINTS
ARTIST STATEMENT
"I am a printmaker, musician, and chain-stitcher living in Lockhart and Alpine Texas, and sometimes in Michigan. I learned how to do linocut printmaking from a friend of mine in her tiny Austin apartment when I needed a way to make multiple album covers at once. I fell in love with the process and started printing as a hobby, selling prints at my music shows and using images for album art. I worked as an embroiderer for the Austin-based Chain-stitching company, Fort Lonesome, and now devote most of my time to linoleum block carving as often as I can! I love the ancient and meditative nature of carving linocuts, and I hope to convey a connectivity to the natural world through my prints." — Dana Falconberry ARTIST BIO Dana Falconberry is an artist and musician living in Lockhart, Texas.
