NEW ARTIST INQUIRIES

NEW ARTIST INQUIRIES ONLY*

Studio Comfort Texas is home to an exclusive group of mutually supportive artists and fine art educators, from emerging to established professionals. We cultivate a broad range of carefully selected artists in an ongoing effort to provide diversity to our collectors and customers, as well as to introduce new methods, materials, and practices to our artist community. If you are an artist and interested in exhibiting with us, please read this page to see if you would be a good fit with us and follow our submission guidelines.

* If you already have an Artist Agreement with us or have previously exhibited in our gallery, please go to the SUBMISSIONS-CURRENT SCTX ARTISTS page to submit images and information for your work.
We seek to exhibit work of contemporary Texas artists that is, first and foremost, exceptional in its approach and execution. We are carefully assembling a diverse and eclectic offering of visual artists whose work combines methods, materials, concepts, and subjects that challenge traditional boundaries and approaches."
We offer representation with the aim being to cultivate relationships with a strong, diverse base of Texas artists who are committed to their success as well as the success of our studio/gallery community. There is a standard commission rate for artists whose work we show in our storefront and online galleries, as well as for classes and workshops taught in our teaching studio. In some cases, we will offer Principal Artist options with varying monthly Representation Fees that come with commensurate reduced commission rates.

We welcome your submissions! In addition to building a database of artists for potential future representation, we seek instructors and artists interested in participating in future SCTX events such as residencies, art fairs, juried competitions, classes and workshops.
At a minimum, we ask that you meet the following basic requirements:
  • Demonstrate a cohesive body or bodies of work spanning a minimum of 5 years
  • Commitment to working consistently to reliably produce new work
  • Convey something distinctive and singular in your work
  • Demonstrate exceptional quality of materials and presentation
  • Conduct yourself with a high level of professionalism
  • Offer classes, workshops, artist talks, and/or demonstrations (Optional)

And be able to provide:
  • Brief Artist Statement
